• ISLA FUERTE is located south of the Gulf of Morrosquillo, at 11 km from the mainland, it is part of the chain of islands formed by the islands of Rosario, San Bernardo and Tortuguilla. It can be reached by air to the cities of Monteria (domestic flights) and Cartagena de Indias (international flights) or by land to the city of Monteria from the interior of the country.
• From Cartagena or Monteria by road to the city of Lorica, from there turn off to San Bernardo del Viento, and take the road from San Bernardo to Monitos, 15 kilometers away you will find the entrance, on your right hand side, to Paso Nuevo.
• If you travel by private car, in Paso Nuevo, ask for Ana Valdelamar�s house, where you can park your car and where our boatmen will be waiting for you to take you to the island and start our services.
• The parking service is not included and has an approximate cost of $10.000 pesos per day that you pay at your departure. Not included.
• If you travel by plane, the airlines have several daily frequencies from Bogota, Medellin, Cali and other cities. The cost of the transfer depends exclusively on how far in advance the reservations are made. We suggest you to make your reservations online directly with the airline. Remember to book your air tickets as follows: arrival in Monteria, on the morning flight, departure from Monteria on the afternoon flight, in order to have enough time for land and sea transfers.
