Blacksmiths Beach is 14 km's of unspoilt sand & surf stretching from Swansea Channel north to Redhead. The channel boasts clean, crystal clear water and is one of the top 3 diving locations in Australia. Your stay in the Beach House gives you the opportunity to relax in a village atmosphere, surf Moon Island's huge right hand tubes in big ESE swell and enjoy the beautiful sunsets over Lake Macquarie.
The Beach House is located in Blacksmiths CBD and is a short walk to beach,channel or lake.Lessons are available for surfing, kite boarding, diving, fishing, sailing, swimming, golf & tennis.
Various styles of rooms to carter for everyones needs with linen, coffee & tea provided.
45 minutes to Hunter Valley Vineyards & 20 minutes to Newcastle.

We Scots aren't usually short for words, however i doubt Burns, Welsh, Stevenson, Banks, or Brookmyre could adequately describe how hospitable Mitch and Kaz are. Without doubt this is the best hostel either of us have ever stayed in -- not only are the facilities and the surrounding area top notch, but the owners will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and even part of the family!

This hostel is the best we have stayed in so far, over our stay in Australia (we've been here five weeks and stayed in a lot of bad hostels) The managers and the owners of this hostel are the friendliest people you'll meet, you will feel like you're instantly at home! Wish we could stay longer! Its clean, tidy, has a large kitchen, large TV/common room, and very well looked after.
