Safe, clean, comfortable, friendly, humble, and accommodating I have been there several three times and can't wait to go back. It is the opposite of a tourist trap. In fact it is a great place to relax and see the true rythm of northern Baja. The Hostel and parking are gated. Guests are given keys to the gate, their rooms, and their lockers. This provides security as well as the freedom to come and go as you please. Hostel is walking distance to grocery, surfing, taco stands, Pemex, an internet cafe, and a bus stop that can take you to Ensenada. The caretaker, who used to live in the United States, loves to meet travelers and is great to chat with in Spanish or English. The grounds, bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, and garden are humble, yet squeaky clean. My favorite parts are the hammocks and the outdoor showers with privacy and an ocean view.
