Description
Located on the northeastern corner of the pristine National Park, Casa Del Parque was built in 1936 and renovated in 1998. An art deco mansion with a beautiful terrace garden with a cosy, homely feel, provides an escape from the city whilst being at close walking distance from the centre, and very close to supermarkets, museums and restaurants serving local and foreign food. Our guests can enjoy the use of a fully equipped kitchen, one common area with cable TV and DVDs and another with a selection of books including guide books on Costa Rica and Spanish study books. We offer free Wifi, free coffee and tea all day, and our staff are always ready if you need any help on planning your travels in Costa Rica of if you need to reserve or have any information on any of the tours that we organize from the hostel.

This hostel is beautiful. The art deco decoration and interior design are really beautiful. Probably the classiest hostel I've ever visited. There are legit coffee table books, a nice living room hangout area. and garden in the back. Jessie is also very helpful in providing travel advice.

The Hostel has a very natural homely feel, very comfortable and with several common areas to relax in. its almost right in the centre of San Jose and almost all the attractions are with in walking distance. The Host, Jessi, was very friendly and happy to help with any directions

I loved the beautiful house and the comfortable common areas, plus the bed was really comfy as well. The staff was really kind and helpful. No doubt I would come back to this hostel if I was coming back to San Jose.

It is in a quiet neighbourhood and next to a great park. Supermarkets are nearby and you can use the roomy, fully equipped kitchen . Great communal areas, tv room, "office" and garden.

Amazing staff and the best location I have seen in San Jose. Right across from a beautiful park and peaceful but fun. Very close walking distance to all the action without being right in the middle of it. Absolutely beautiful building with hot showers! I would definitely recommend to others and will likely be back!!

The owner, Francisco, was wonderful! He was already to assist with whatever questions I or other guests had. The room was spacious and very comfortable. There was a very comfortable air about the place. My only concern was that there wasn´t a lock for my room but true to the maid´s word nothing happened to any of my belongings.
