Hostelz.com's Review
Tallinn Backpackers is also called Old Town Backpackers and is ideally located in the old town. It is a rather unique hostel with quirky additions. The greatest draw-card has to be the gorgeous free sauna and big screen to watch one of the many movies they have. This is ideal in the cold winter months especially since Tallinn is one of the coldest cities in Europe! The one dorm room is laid out like a mini-golf course, complete with green felt flooring, little hills, and holes -- playing golf amongst the bunk beds is a very different experience! The other dorm room also doubles up as the lounge and TV room so could be annoying if you fancy an early night.

The well-equipped and modern kitchen has another small lounge leading off it and just down the hall is an amazing bathroom. It's beautifully tiled, massive, and has an awesome power-shower cross jacuzzi bath (though the jacuzzi is disabled at the moment). Showering in this bathroom you can momentarily forget that you are a dirty backpacker and feel pampered and posh! The hostel is kept spotlessly clean by the team of staff who working and living in the hostel and the hostel is kept warm and cozy by the log fire in the lounge. This is a good hostel for socialising and partying, especially since there are quite a few good clubs nearby.

5   Great I felt like at home in this hostel! The kitchen, the common room, the bathroom are such that you feel you are in a real house, a big family house and not in a hostel. Wi-Fi worked perfectly and the location is great. I recommend it without hesitation.  , Venezuela ()
4   I loved it the atmosphere is great -- from the first time you step into the hostel. there is one big dorm and everyone is passing through, because it is the only way to the kitchen. There is a huge bathroom, and there is another upstairs. they even have sauna in it. the kitchen is place to hang out with other travelers, there is also a table football you can play. because it is so small (i think they have only twenty or twenty-five beds) it really looks so cute. after midnight it is always quiet. it was a bit messy, but everything else was just great.  , slovenian ()
1  Cold, boring hostel. Often without hot water! Ran by a bunch of euro hipsters who live there free and treat you as an unwanted intruder! They take up all the best spots. Once one of the drunk freeloader/managers came into the commons area at 10 p.m. and ordered everyone out because he was drunk and wanted to sleep in the commons area because the place was sold out and his bunk was taken! When we refused, because we were the ones paying to stay here, he actually wanted to start a brawl! Can you imagine? Stay away!  ()
5  An awesome hostel, brilliant location in the old town, a really really friendly place! the staff are all young mostly backpacking themselves so really go out of their way to help you and have fun, the kitchen is very well equipt, the lounge/communal area is comfortable and extremely sociable so you'll meet loads of people, and the bathrooms -- ok so there's only two but they're really clean and one is absolutely enormous, total luxury with an awesome shower. Would definitely recommend this hostel!  ()
