Nubian Oasis Hostel Reviews from the Web

2  Nice roof terrace but tiring harassment Nubian Oasis is probably ok for groups as the place with its roof terrace, Stella beer, Egyptian music canals is actually quite nice. Single travelers, especially if they are female, might find it more than ennervating though, as Mansour's friendliness quickly turns into abuse -- if a single female guest rejects his advances, he tries to get her paying his marijuana instead or whatever amount of money seems possible to get out of a Western traveler. Quite an annoying experience.  , Germany ()
5  A really friendly and funky place, in a great location. This place ticks all the boxes. It's cheap, clean, welcoming, and -- important for new arrivals -- close to the train station too. Breakfast is the only meal served, but it's a good breakfast with bread, eggs, butter, jam, yoghurt, tea or coffee, and fruit juice. There are restaurants nearby but you can also ask to see the take-away pizza menu they keep, which is excellent value for money. It's not detracting one bit from the hotel to say I also met the loveliest people there of all ages and all seasoned travelers, who also voted this hotel as one of the best they'd stayed at in their pan-African or pan-European travels.  , British ()
5  I had an amazing time in Luxor while at the Nubian Oasis. the manager Mansour was extremely friendly and made the time me and my friends stayed their so much fun. All the staff were extremely friendly, especially Saad, who didnt seem to sleep, but rather seemed to live to help you. the rooms were clean, the tour organised through the hotel to the valley of the kings was very good, and i cant stress the fun i had whilst there. I hope that other people have as much fun as i did.  , England ()
