Central and quiet
The hostel is central, just ten minutes' walk from the train station so you don't need the taxi to go there. The rooms are clean and even the toilets but the showers -- terrible. The kitchen was fine and the staff helpful and nice.

Clean, central, helpful staff
This is a clean, well-situated hostel which has young and helpful staff. Unfortunately, the terrace patio mentioned in the hostel's description is now off limits because of complaints from neighbours, but the common room is good. There seem to be a lot of mosquitoes about, several people woke up with bites when I was there, but I don't know whether this is specific to the hostel. One small gripe is that the smoking area is in the kitchen, over the stove. It is supposed to be done with the stove's exhaust fan on, but mostly it's not and in any case the smoke still goes through the kitchen and common room area. The staff seem to be the heaviest smokers. All in all though, this is a good hostel and I'd stay here again.

Hostel is within walking distance of rail station and pretty central to all of the sites. Rooms are very clean as are the showers and WCs. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

This was a small, pleasant, and informal hostel, a little like being in somebody's house really -- the kind of hostel where you end up getting to know all the guests. All facilities were available, good bathrooms, kitchen, net access, and the reception was in the social room, so it gave us a chance to talk to the staff and get advice for what's going on locally. The location was excellent too -- pretty much right in the city centre, but a few streets away from the heavy traffic, and walking back is no problem after a night out.

This is probably the nicest hostel I ever visited. The beds are really comfortable and there is a lot of space for hanging out and meeting people. Best of all, the people who work there really care about us and they helped me with much more than they needed to (thanks, Nenad!). For me personally, security is always very important when staying at hostels and I could really relax at Belgrade Eye.
