3  Good place but wach out for insects This is in general a good and price-worthy hostel. I stayed there Dec. 01 to 03, 2007 and in October 2006. The day staff (Iris) is very friendly and always willing to help. Friendly people staying there, some longterm; good facilities. Unfortunately, I caught a flea or something there, got fifty really ugly and special looking bites (not mosquitoes) that partly got infected. I had to see a doctor and take antibiotics. I know I got it there because I did not stay in any other hostels before and I felt when I got bitten in the common area. And, moreover, I got the same kind (of special) bites in the common room of the same hostel one year before. Management of the hostel did not really take my complaint seriously. They sufficed in saying the area would be sprayed two times a year. I know that insects are brought in by backpackers themselves and are not due to lack of cleaning. However, the management is responsible for pest control. Anyhow, the streets directly surrounding the hostel are very dirty. I saw, for example, at least ten rats in three days not even looking for them. That makes it harder for the maybe well-meaning hostel management. So, if you are an insect delicacy (like I am) you better choose another hostel. If you mind rats choose another quarter or at least a clean street.  , Germany ()
5  Think it's a great place. Neat, tidy, safe, and great hospitality. couldn't ask for more helpful people.  ()
