There was no friendship at the Travellers Friendship Hostel. The trouble began when I tried to check in. This hostel actually operates under at least six different names. This caused confusion because nowhere does it say Travellers Friendship Hostel. The woman at the desk was actually yelling at me and I finally had to ask permission to check in. Once I did check in, the room was adequate and there was even a towel provided. However, the stay was coloured by the treatment that I received at the desk. I would not say here again at all. The other names under which this hostel operates are: Kowloon (New) Hotel, New Garden Hostel, USA Hotel, Deluxe Garden Guest House, and Luen On Guest House.

The Travellers Friendship Hostel was nice, the rooms were kept clean every morning and they was free mineral water to drink. The staff are accommodating and very friendly. Nice place to stay and very accessible (the MTR is just around the corner of the building). Especially if you are travelling on a tight budget, this is the best place to stay.
