The Hostelz.com Review
Noosa Backpackers Resort is a good place to stay for those seeking activities and relaxation. Noosa has great beaches, a national park with lots of walking tracks, and a quiet river and the hostel offers free surfboards, bodyboards, and kayaks in a very good condition. The accommodation used to be a resort with apartments that now are transformed to dormitories.
The Location
The location is far away from the bus station and the main beach, but this isn't a problem because you can catch the free bus at the hostel. There is a supermarket five minutes away, as well as some restaurants.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The dormitories are very large, and have bathrooms. The rooms are cleaned each morning. You can leave your valuables in the office and in general it is quite secure to stay.
Common Spaces
There is a large kitchen (but only few pots and pans), a bar licensed for selling alcohol, a swimming pool, and an internet area (but no wireless). The place is very friendly and you can meet a lot of people. If you travel alone, you can catch the free bus in the morning and meet someone for that day.
Summary
It's a good place to stay and so nice that you will want to return to again.

Disgusting I have traveled extensively all over the world, and this backpackers is one of the worst places I have ever stayed at, and I've gone backpacking through India. Our room had the worst smell, which made it very difficult to stay in for long periods of time. Found a bedbug in my bed as well. My boyfriend and I had to drug ourselves in order to fall asleep here. Bathrooms were disgusting. There is a wall of boogers next to the shared toilet. Mmmm. First up the staff were very friendly and helpful, the common areas had a good vibe, and the hostel was located close to public transport and in a quiet area.
