Bright & Alpine Backpackers trades under the name of The Outdoor Inn, and has camping and cabin accommodation. Backpackers stay in cabins. The common room, laundry, and bathroom are shared amongst all guests. The kitchen has four fridges and two stoves and is still fairly busy, but the site has a holiday atmosphere and people are very friendly. The bathroom is clean and spacious though a little rundown.
The site is frequented by cycling and paragliding visitors as both recreations see the Victorian Alps as a natural haven during the warmer months. Naturally the site is in high demand during the snow season.
Located two kilometers from the centre of town on Coronation Avenue, it's a bit of a walk to the shops. There is a small river 50 meters from the kitchen, so be prepared for mosquitoes. The site has lots of birds and possums if you're interested in watching the wildlife during the day.
