Hostel was really good, only problem I had was that it promoted itself as having the lowest priced tours around. We went to a football match and it cost 80Rs, when the price on the ticket said 20Rs. There were fifteen people going so we filled a whole minibus, but I'm sorry it doesn't cost 60Rs to pay the driver and guide. Something tells me this certainly wasn't the lowest priced tour around. I advise people to take the initiative and go on their own.

Best hostel
I have stayed in many hostels and this is far and away the best hostel i have stayed in. there are a few reason i liked this hostel so much. the staff, who are always so friendly and helpful. the bar on the roof is always a great spot to drink. the general vibe is great, most people are in a good mood when they are there.

This was the first hostel of our trip and it was not until i stayed in a few others did i really appreciate how brilliant this hostel is. The location is unbeatable, two blocks from the stunning Copacabana, and seconds from transport all around rio. The staff could not have been better. Pedro was such a great guy and always had time for questions and a drink. The bar on the roof was cheap and a great place to meet people and the one next door does good food too. The hostel offers good value trips to the regular sights plus ones that we would not have liked to do alone such as football matches and a favella party. The drivers are mental but so friendly and always looking out for you. The breakfast was first class and the rooms were big and secure with massive lockable drawers. Honestly i cant tell you how much you should stay here! just watch out for the scary cleaning lady!

Had this hostel been somewhere else, I'd give it 5 stars. It's located in a very special-looking building, the rooms are very nice and clean, free internet any time, relaxing pub on the roof, very helpful staff. But the problem is that it's located on one of the busiest streets around, in a permanent traffic jam. I spent there 1 night and run away to escape the permanent noise and asphyxiation. Because of the location it's like living in an exhaust of a car.
