Location/ContactThe Orange Elephant has a variety of accommodation on offer, consisting of cottages each with two bedrooms (one double room & one double single room), a small lounge and a bathroom. You can book a cottage or share the facilities with others. The dorm rooms provide individual or shared accommodation and for the traveller looking for "The African Safari" experience there are a number of large tents. Children sharing a room with their parents stay for free.
The restaurant offers a full al la carte menu and caters for all, including vegetarians. They offer fine traditional South African fare, such as "Bobotie" and game steaks. Their choice cut steaks are legendary and the portions are for the hungry. Join in the action in the well stocked pub, "it's the water hole where the thirsty herds meet" and is a great place to mingle with the locals and listen to some folklore and bullsh*t and have a good laugh. Luckily the rooms are within crawling distance from the pub so there is no need to hold back. Whether you are in a party mood or looking for a quiet cocktail in the garden, the Orange Elephant has it all.
The pub is the ideal place to plan and book your day's activities. If it's looking for the 'Big 5', cuddling a cheetah and lion or game viewing from a little further away in one of their vehicles, the Orange Elephant team will organise it all. Their local guide is a legend in the area and a wealth of information.
