Description
Hostel Bekuo is Costa Rica's nicest and most comfortbale hostel. We offer the same low rates as all the other hostels in Costa Rica, but with that low rate comes comfort and cleanliness. At Bekuo, we aim to make your stay with us as much like staying in your own home as possible, but like staying at your own home with 40 friends.

We offer a peaceful environment where you can relax and enjoy your time here, and actually get some sleep too. If you want to have a great time out on the town, no one beats our location. We're stumbling...err, walking distance to so many bars and restaurants it makes it hard to stay in for too long. And don't be surprised if the staff takes you out or follows along.

We have a variety of options for every type of traveler, from dorms, to mixed rooms, from private rooms, to privates with double beds and baths.

5 Located in a residential area, and downtown San José is a few minute bus ride, I was able to walk safely during the day and at night to nearby restaurants, bars, and shops. 4 Chill and cruisy, nice staff and they were happy to help. Good facilities and it's always good form to have all the little 'extras' included like towels and breakfast. Rate it, it's set up well for a great atmosphere given the right crowd.   — marius Lina (2011-09-06) Hostelbookers
5 I planned on staying for 2 nights...which turned into 3 periods with a total of about 2 weeks. The hostel has an incredible atmosphere, really laid back. The area around the hostel has pretty much everything you need from restaurants in eveery price range, to a big supermarket and a proper shopping mall. Its not to fa from town and there is plenty of buses bringing you there. The staff/owner: They were the reason why I came back 3 times. You gotta love this place!   — Markus Edin (2011-08-16) Hostelbookers

5 I was very pleased with this hostel and the staff. Relaxed atmosphere and very comfortable, especially after spending nights at some places where the party seemed to be right outside my door. I didn´t go out with everybody that night, but there was plenty to do at the hostel. One of the best I have stayed at.   — Katja Herschfeld (2010-09-15) Hostelbookers

5 My favorite hostel on my 6 month trip. Open and spacious with a nice garden. Not a ¨party¨ hostel, but plenty of things to do in the hostel and the nearby bars were nice. Good pool table. A good place to relax for a few days. Staff was super helpful...including the night shift guy.   — Daniel McConnelly (2010-08-04) Hostelbookers
3 A bit overrated on the website, nothing special but not bad either, just another place. Guy on the night shift was pretty creepy.   — Craig Zwicky (2010-06-11) Hostelbookers
4 Great location, a quiet suburb but still only 15 minutes walk from downtown. 15 minutes walk to San Pedro and the University district too. Good supermarket one block away and a kitchen at the hostel. Staff super helpful with advice on the country and will recommend and arrange tours too.   — Roy Fox (2010-05-16) Hostelbookers
