HappyNest Hostel is a great transit hostel for those passing through Cebu City between other locations. The hostel is within walking distance from the ferry terminal and not too far away from both the North and South bus terminals. The neighborhood of the hostel is very quiet and a bit creepy, especially at night, but the hostel is very welcoming and comfortable.

The neighborhood of the hostel is very quiet with not much going on; especially at night, the area is a bit creepy with quite a few people sleeping on the streets, but it does not feel unsafe. There are not many shops or restaurants around the local area, but there is enough around to find a meal.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms are very nice, with all the features you could want in a hostel. Each bed is private, with its own curtain to close it off from the room, along with a private lamp and powerpoint in each bed. The beds are comfortable and make no noise, as they are built into the room. Although it is a transit hostel, with people coming and going late at night and early in the morning, it is easy to get a good sleep and have a private space.
There is a communal bathroom with separate shower and toilet areas for males and females. The bathrooms are very clean and offer everything that you need, including hot and cold water and good water pressure.
Common Spaces
There is a small common area with a sofa and several tables for guests to use. The hostel has a friendly feel but is not overly social. It has the feeling of a transit location and the staff are very accommodating of late arrivals and early departures. You are able to leave things around or rest on the sofas if you arrive before check-in time. There is a kitchen in the hostel, however, it is only for staff use.
Summary
This hostel is the perfect location if you want a relaxed place to rest in between flights, buses, or ferries! It is in an easily accessible place for your arrival and departure to your next destination. The hostel is perfectly designed for travel with quiet rooms, and is equipped with private bed spaces and everything you'd need when in transit. The hostel has a very relaxed and friendly feel, but is not a very social place.
