We stayed here over May bank weekend for one night, and the place was empty, but were extremely impressed with the place, and it will be awesome when full in the high season. The rooms were clean, spacious and ours had an en-suite bathroom (not sure if they all do) the shower was amazing, it had some kind of massage spray, and the bathroom was clean and modern. Bunks very comfy and there was lockable storage for bags. There is a brilliant equiped kitchen, dining area, lounge area, and a bar (which was closed unfortunately) -- plus they do a meal deal every night for a bargain price (pasta/baked potatoes/salad). It's a five-minute walk to the village where there a few great atmospheric pubs on the lock and some outside pub tables. Would definitely recommend, great hostel and Fort Augustus is lovely. — L Hill (2006-05-02)
