The Helter Skelter Hostel (former Cubhouse Hostel) in central Berlin is a hostel for backpackers.

Dorms and Private Rooms, simple, clean and cozy. Clean shared bathrooms with seperated showers. Sheets included, but we collect a deposit on Check-In, which you get back on Check-Out. Self Catering Kitchen. Pool Table.

Breakfast is available from 8-12 for 3 euros as a buffet.
Internet Terminals are available from 1 Euro/h.

We also have luxury apartments for up to 10 persons, about 100 - 150 m² big, 2-3 rooms and common room with TV, 2 Bathrooms, kitchen, terrace and lift..

The Helter Skelter Hostel is most centrally located in the heart of Berlin. It is very close to the old town, the sights and the museums. We are near to the Potsdamer Platz, the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag. Almost all sights are within walking distance. Within 10 minutes by public transport you can reach the Check Point Charlie or the Jewish Museum.

The Hostel is not only in the middle of Berlin's Nightlife area, but just a few metres away from the famous 'Tacheles' - probably the most famous origin of the new berlin.

But you don't have to leave the hostel to party!

Hang out in the Reception, have dinner with new friends, party all night and chill during the day. Please note, that especially on weekends it might get loud.

Location	•The Helter Skelter Hostel Berlin is very centrally located in Berlin Mitte, the old-town in east-Berlin. • Almost all sights are within walking distance. • how to get around, a short intro: • Straße means street, • S-bahn • is a city train, part of the public transport in berlin, marked by a white S on a green circle, • runs mainly overground, and usually stops running between 1am and 4am during weekdays, • runs every 30 minutes on weekends • U-Bahn • is the underground or metro, or tube or whatever.. also part of the public transport, • marked by a white U on a blue square, runs mainly underground and usually stops between 1am and 4am, and is substituted during that time by nightbuses. • the Hostel is near S-Bahn-station Friedrichstraße and U-Bahn-station Oranienburger Tor • from S-Bahn-station Friedrichstraße (10 minutes): • get off here and exit onto friedrichstraße and walk north. after 150m • you should cross the River Spree. after the bridge take your first right into Ziegelstraße, • then first left into Kalkscheunenstraße. we are on the right handside in number 4-5. • from the main train-station Hauptbahnhof (Lehrter Stadtbahnhof on older maps - 15 minutes): • simply take any S-bahn direction east, go one stop to Friedrichstraße • and follow the directions above • from train-station Zoologischer Garten - Zoo station (20 minutes): • simply take any S-bahn direction east, go four stops to Friedrichstraße • and follow the directions above • from train-station Ostbahnhof (20 minutes): • take any s-bahn direction west four stops to Friedrichstraße, and see above • from airport Schönefeld ( 1 hour): • take the S-bahn number S9 to Ostkreuz and change into S7 to Friedrichstraße, then see above. Alternatively you could take the regional train RE7 or RB14, which go directly to Friedrichstraße, but run only every hour. • from airport Tegel (40 minutes): • take the bus number 128 to U-bahn Kurt-Schumacher-Platz, then get on the U6 direction Alt-Mariendorf, get off at oranienburger tor, exit the station in driving direction and walk down Friedrichstraße, take the first left into Johannisstraße, the next right into Kalkscheunenstraße, • we are on the left handside number 4-5. • from the central bus station ZOB • walk north to get to the U-Bahn station Kaiserdamm, take U-Bahn number U2 to Zoo-station • and follow the directions above. • Arriving with loads of luggage: • If you want to avoid walking, you have to go to U-Bahn Oranienburger Tor, which is the closest • station to the hostel. • Your train ticket or EuRail ticket is also valid for the S-Bahn (city train), but not the U-Bahn (Underground). • If you need further information, please let us know. I really loved this hostel. It has been the best by far that I have experienced. The only bad thing, is that the first day zhen I arrived, the receptionist was rather rude and not very happy nor helpful in assiting me regarding directions. The hostel is really close to the main station in Freidrichstrasse so doesn't take more than about ten minutes to walk there. This also means it is really central for all the main sites in Berlin, including bars and clubs too. The atmosphere of the hostel was casual and welcoming with a young feel and good music playing.
