Neither Hotel nor Hostel.
Extremely tiny room for 10 people, with just one window! It had 4 electric sockets, which just isn't enough, not mentioning their stupid placement. Basically this place is utter sh*t. Don't go there, let them go bankrupt.

Packed in the basement
ok i feel i should talk about the good things first -- location was pretty convenient, price for cph was decent, breakfast was good and filling. on the other side -- rooms so tiny that no bags at all could be stored, basement maze, lockers quite dodgy, no female only dorms ... why? staff to lazy to organize. don't expect any extras like bed side lamps, Wi-Fi.

Has scary hostel in basement
"Has scary hostel in basement" would be a better description. After following a maze of hallways through the loading dock, we arrived in our cramped dorm room with stained mattresses and pillows. The "lockers" provided one floor down did not look secure, as they were made out of plywood and showed evidence of having been forced open, but bags needed to be kept in them because of the lack of space in the room. Sheets and bags had to be kept in the lockers during the day, or sheets would have to be rented again. Shower facilities in the basement were dirty and not private. The toilets and showers one floor up in the hotel were more satisfactory. Good price for Copenhagen, free breakfast was filling, but try to find somewhere else to stay before booking here.

I don't recommend this place. But to be fair, here is a list. Good points -- It's relatively central. Hostel prices are at the lower end of the price scale. Simple breakfast buffet is included. Rooms seemed clean enough. Bad points -- The "lockers" look like something someone made in first grade shop with dodgy wood, and you have to buy (as opposed to rent or borrow against a deposit) a lock to use them (I gave mine away when I left). And even then, the hostel takes no responsibility. There is no other storage space. They advertise TV's in the rooms, but the TV's dont work properly. The billiard table and the table soccer work with coins. Most of the staff are incredibly rude and seemed to have no interest in the guests well-being. Mostly they seemed annoyed that you spoke to them at all, and if they didn't know something they didnt try to find out, and could not care less, apparently. perhaps they treat their hotel guests better than their hostel guests, I dont know. Sheets are included, but that does not deserve to be mentioned as a good point, as they are two simple sheets; no pillowcase, no duvet cover. You can't stay, or even leave your luggage, in your rooms between 11 and 15 o'clock.
