The Hostelz.com Review
The Location
More like a home away from home than a hostel, Most Hostel is a cosy nook in the heart of Ljubljana, overlooking Ljubljanica river and Zmajski Most (Dragon Bridge). The quiet neighbourhood is safe, especially for a lone female, and close to bars, cafes, the open market, and boutique shops. Allow a good twenty-minute walk from the bus station with a heavy pack. Walk along Resljeva street and turn left when you get to Dragon Bridge. There is no sign to indicate that it is a hostel other than "Faronika" marked at the front of the white building.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The eight-bed dorm is enormous -- high ceiling, heating, warm wood finishes with splashes of colour, a comfortable sofa to chill and a bookcase tucked in the corner. Each bed comes with a reading lamp and compact locker with key. When you arrive, the beds are freshly made with quality linen, pillows are plump, and towels are provided. There are ample spaces and hooks to hang your gear. Two double rooms and a twin room are basic, clean and popular, so book ahead of time. The two bathrooms are generous and clean. One of the bathrooms contains a jacuzzi that resembles more like a space capsule than a standard shower.
Common Spaces
There is a proper dining setting for four people and a well-quipped kitchen with plenty of plates, mugs, and cutlery. Breakfast is not included, but there is free coffee and a variety of tea. Occasionally there is a pack of corn flakes lurking around for the guests. A spacious common area with cable television, and one computer terminal with free internet and a speedy Wi-Fi. Most Hostel offers a relaxed and warm atmosphere that may tempt you to stay longer.
Summary
The staff are easygoing and helpful with anything you may need. Most Hostel has a certain charm and character that makes you feel right at home as soon as you step through the door. It just adds to Ljubljana's allure and culture.

Very good You should go there -- a very nice place. — Julia , Germany (2007-08-15)

Great hostel with an excellent location right next to the dragon bridge and an easy ten-minute walk to the train/bus station. They have the best shower I have ever experienced anywhere! So amazing! Great kitchen and internet too! — Sam , USA (2007-05-23)

Top hostel, very comfortable, and the guy who runs it is extremely helpful and welcoming (and speaks fluent English). It's about ten minutes to walk to the main bus/train station. You get a secure cupboard to lock your bags. And the internet terminal is free. The only reason I haven't given it a "five" is that maybe the facilities such as bathroom/kitchen might not be adequate for the number of beds when the hostel is quite full -- but I stayed off-season with the hostel really empty and it was fine. — Alan (2007-03-06)

Stayed here for two nights in February 2007. The place has just been refurbished and is spotless. All new furniture, two kitchens, excellent bathrooms. Ljubljana is a quiet place in winter, and the hostel was nearly empty, but I had a great stay nonetheless. The location is brilliant too. — Bazza (2007-02-15)

This is a superb hostel, the lady who runs it is wonderful, very polite, very helpful. The hostel itself is new, clean, and comfortable and the location is pretty top notch. The free internet went down a treat after forking out ridiculous prices in Venice. Met some very nice folks here and would definitely stay again. — Martin (2006-09-14)
