Torridon is a magnificent corner of the North Western Highlands with some of the finest mountain scenery in Europe. Torridon is an excellent base for mountaineers, as well as those simply wishing to relax and enjoy the surroundings and wildlife.

Situated at the head of Upper Loch Torridon in the shadow of the mighty Liathach, the 4 star hostel has small comfortable rooms and family rooms. It has its own store, self-catering facilities, two panoramic lounges, hot showers, an excellent drying room, all in a superb location.

Location	By Bus Post Bus connects with the train from Inverness, which arrives at Achnasheen around 12.00pm (except Sundays and local holidays). Local Bus meets the train which arrives at Strathcarron around 12.30pm. There is also a school bus to and from Gairloch. By Train The train from Inverness stops at Achnasheen. Take Post Bus to Torridon (as above). The train from Kyle of Lochalsh stops at Achnasheen or Strathcarron. Take bus from station (as above). By Car Hostel is situated at the head of Upper loch Torridon at the east end of the village. Our flag is easily visible. Travel on the A896 from either Kinlochewe or Shieldaig to Torridon.

The friendliness of the staff and other Hostellers great way of meeting lots of interesting people. Thought accomodation was very basic no mains water supply or no facilities to plug in a hairdryer or no offer of that service.
