The hostel is located at the very heart of the city. It's close to all the important sites, and you have no need to use the public transportation; it's all within a 5-minute walk. However, if you feel you'd like to get to know Prague a little better and see everything there is to see, you have a tram station right next to the hostel. Also, there is a Metro station, a supermarket where you can buy anything you need, a fast food joint, a bakery, a coffee shop and lots of places where you can exchange currency.
The hostel also provides free Internet, which you can use at any time, provided the reception is open, which is not 24 hours a day (like some think) but if you call in advance, there will surely be someone there. The same goes for the check in and check out – the reception is open from 10 to 18h [6 p.m.] (I think, but I'm not sure), but if you wish to check in or out before or after that time all you have to do is let them know. There is no curfew because you get the key to the building and your room, and you can go out and get back at any time. The staff are half-friendly, that is, the young girl is very kind and willing to help, and the older guy is just bored, a bit confused and uninterested.
I was staying in a twin private en suite and the room is very nice and really clean. I was pleasantly surprised. The bathroom is immaculate, with a beautiful large mirror above the sink. In the room, besides the beds, there are two chairs, a table, a wardrobe, a central light, and three other smaller lamps – and above the beds and the table, pretty paintings and curtains. All together, staying at the Manhattan hostel is very pleasant and comfortable, so I recommend it to all Prague visitors.

We were moved to this hostel after ABC Hostel notified us the bathroom in our double at their location was broken. True, the Manhattan has a good location, but the rooms are gross. The beds are uncomfortable and all I could smell was cigarettes and pee. There was no shower curtain and a water heater hung directly over our head in the bathroom. The lift is like a coffin. There were NO decorations in our room except a fake fern that hung limply from the dirty wall. I don't have anything positive to say about this hostel except it has a good location. Try somewhere different because Prague is such an amazing city and staying in a nicer place will make for nicer memories.
