Description
Montreal Sunset is situated in the best spot in Montreal. The front view of the hostel is the beautiful Mount Royal park; 2 streets behind the hostel is the Main Street (St-Laurent Blvd.) where you find all the best clubs (I have VIP/Guest list for all my guests). So whether you want to relax in nature or party at a club, you only have to walk two or three blocks!

The Palais des Congrès is close as well (10-15 min walking/3 bus stations). The bus is an easy and convenient way to get around, although everything is within walking distance.

At Montreal Sunset, you are close to the famous walking street Prince Arthur where all the 'bring your own wine' restaurants are located. You are also beside McGill University, all the festivals, the Place des Arts, Park Lafontaine, St-Denis Street and Ste-Catherine Street, theaters, China Town, Old Montreal, etc... -

In sum: You are central to everything!

That's not all. The hostel itself is very nice (all renovated, historical house, big balcony, BBQ at the back, etc). You have access to the living room and to all the amenities (oven, fridge, microwave, the dishes, toilets, showers, TV, movies, free internet, laundry, the balcony). I also have two guitars, and if you enjoy playing, we can jam together!

The ambience of the hostel if very warm and welcoming and the rooms are very comfortable and quiet during the night.

My name is Mathieu and I am the Host of Montreal Sunset. The staff and I are always there to help you with your plans for the day or night. I'm always available in person or by telephone and I can direct you to wherever you want to go, and provide you with maps and travel tips. I also help/have helped a lot of people who are moving here to find an apartment or a job in Montreal.

Montreal Sunset is the kind of accommodation you have been looking for, and will look for in your future travels around the world. It begins here...

Have a Nice Trip!

5 My friend and I picked this hostel blindly off the internet and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We had a smaller group of travelers so we didn't run into problems. Matt was helpful with navigation of the city and ran a laid back hostel. I enjoyed it and would go again.

2 I thought that the owner was very nice, but I must say I was disappointed with this hostel. He has noted "free car park;" well really he just shows you on a map a street two blocks away that has free parking Saturday to Sunday on one side of the street and Monday to Wednesday on the other. Well, with his "Free Parking" I got a ticket for $40 CDN — not cool. As well there is only one bathroom and shower and there can be up to 18 people in that place. There is no information about the city around except for old books that other travelers have left. The owner is fairly young and the "lounge room" is mostly taken up by him and his friend/girlfriend in the evenings as they watch French TV very loudly late into the evening. Like I said, I was pretty disappointed and would not recommend the place, although the beds were comfy and the place was clean.
