The hostel is multistory, with rooms on four levels. Aside from a single six-bed dorm on the ground floor, all rooms have ensuite bathrooms. Towels and toilet paper are generally not included for dorm rooms. However that aside, the beds are extremely comfortable and warm, each with its own cartoon-themed quilt. Additionally, the rooms are heated--somewhat of a rarity in Bolivia.
The hostel has two very comfortable common areas, a huge lounge-dining room with cable television and DVD player and a smaller sitting area with comfy couches and a coffee table literally overflowing with guide books from all corners of the globe.
Breakfast is included in the price and is comprised of bread, eggs, hot drinks, orange juice, and fruit. A bright, well-equipped kitchen is available for guest use and there's plenty of space to eat once you've finished cooking.
The hostel doesn't have internet, but plenty of reasonably-priced internet cafes abound in Potosi so this shouldn't be a problem. The hostel is also linked to a tourist agency and can readily arrange tours of the mine and other activities as needed. Management are extremely friendly and helpful, creating a very warm and welcoming atmosphere which makes this hostel a joy to visit and difficult to leave.
