Awesome The best place to stay in amsterdam. Nothing luxurious, just the necessary things are provided, very convenient price. That's what everybody should need from a hostel! The hostel guy is cool, and there are also some adorable cats. The decoration is fascinating with all the graffiti on the walls. The best place to chill out during a trip in amsterdam. will go there again and again.

Beautiful cats If you are coming here you should know what you are looking for! It's an artsy place with great people, always ready for exchanging ideas about art, music, and life. We stayed for a couple nights and we came with a recommendation. So if you are used to all capitalistic comforts like foam/bathing and champagne service in the room better avoid this place!

The best in Amsterdam I'm stay in this hostel for four times and I'm sure if this is the best in
amsterdam. The prices are very cheap, and the staff are like a group of friends.
The rooms are very completely and the atmosphere is like a movie. I lived a dream in this hostel and advice at all my friends who go to amsterdam to visit him and stay. Pablo and jimmy (the staff) are very available and can help you
about all things you need in amsterdam.

Good value in a great location I really enjoyed my stay at the Radio Inn. Ok you don't come here for the amenities (and hey you don't come to amsterdam to spend all the time in the hostel as there are way too many fun things to do in the city), but the basics are great -- we slept well, the shower was hot, the manager was extremely friendly and helpful, and the fact that everything was so laid back without a long set of house rules really made us feel at home. The location is also great, and not at all in a touristy zone, yet so close to it all. I'll be staying here again for sure as it wasn't expensive at all and I'd rather spend my travel dollars on the excellent Heineken that flows freely in most of the city's bars (including the great cuban bar just twenty meters from the hostel) or on any number of other things.

Very nice stay in this hostel Traveling trough the world I always stay in Amsterdam into the youth hostel radio Inn, I even remember the place when it was named Huize Otten. The place is simple, but safe, the staff are always very friendly and although you are in the centre of amsterdam, you can have a good sleep here because it is located in a quite street. Always one of the three cats saying me good night, i feel home here, I love the radio Inn!

Funky and Cool Hostel -- Come and Go Anytime One of the smallest Hostels I've every stayed in, pictures and Art everywhere. I've been to Amsterdam a couple of times before, I prefer Radio Inn Hostel to the Bigger Hostels I stayed in last time. No Breakfast, but theres a cafe next door and I made friends with the Cat! Cool place to stay for anyone who doesn't want to be hassled about coming and going anytime.

Avoid, terrible hostel. very cramped, basically beds with ten inches between. no lockers in rooms. very dirty showers/washroom. i had terrible roommates (no respect for other peoples space). three-night stay from hell. not that much cheaper than other much, much better hostels. staff are easy going but really, the facilities are lacking.

Free bedbugs inside We stayed in the radio inn for a night in a double bedroom. I must say that the staff wasn't unfriendly at all. But we should have trusted our first impression. It's a dirty and really small place. We thought about leaving but as we were searching for hours we decided to stay. Do not do that! After only one night, I felt an itching on my feet. Now, four days after that my whole body is all covered with insect stings. My doctors can not say what exactly it is. It looks like the pest! Really I'm not joking. Do not stay here! It's dirty and alive with bugs!

Run by Lazy, Dirty Thieves This complaint is epic, so I will try to keep it short. To begin when we booked we booked one bed for two nights. Me and my girlfriend got to the hostel intending on sharing one bed for both nights in order to save on our traveling expenses. So just to make sure, we ask the "employee" who took our money, showed us the room (a top bunk with no bar) and gave us our useless key, if it was ok and he said it would be because we are paying per bed and he didn't see a problem with the situation. To begin our door didn't have a lock. Not because it wasn't working it just didn't have a lock or a door knob or any other device to keep the door closed. The people who checked us in didn't ask for our money or our information till 7 p.m. and when we asked about a different room, clean sheets, or for someone to unclog the only toilet on the floor we were ignored because they were too busy playing GTA4. These people didn't even work there -- the owner just let them sleep there for free in exchange for allowing him to shirk his responsibilities for a few hours while he was busy pretending to be a young anti-establishment punk/poser. So the next day we are told that we owe them for another two nights there, so they were trying to double the amount we owed them because "The owner found out." After waiting for three hours for the owner and being told that we have to take our stuff and wait outside for him, he finally arrived and I think I was able to say ten words over the course of a twenty-minute insult session. He proceeded to call me mentally retarded for thinking that two people could share and pay for one bed even though the people that he appointed as his employees told us that we could stay and their website clearly states that the cost is 25 euros per bed per night. So while this old, single, pathetic little man insulted us he also threatened to call the cops (never did), threatened to charge damages to my credit card (even though he didn't have any of my information), and have me deported because supposedly believing employees is illegal.

Avoid I stayed in the radio inn during easter weekend 2008. When staying there me and my friends got ripped off and scammed by paying for a bed we did not even use. When we talked to the staff they were uncooperative and rude. They knew they were in the wrong but chose to ignore this fact. When you are traveling you are at your most vulnerable, and friendly staff to help you out with a smile and advice are essential. This was certainly not the case here. No matter how cheap the place, every person walking through the door should be treated with respect, and you should only pay for the facilities you use. Also the location is not central like described -- fifteen- to twenty-minute walk (in the cold) from the main hot spots. If you want quick access to your bed at the end of a long day and intoxicated night, this is not the place to stay. If you don't mind spending a bit more money on somewhere to stay, then its worth doing so. Quite frankly, if you are travelling on a budget, a park bench would be more suitable than the radio inn.

Avoid I was staying at this ho(s)tel years ago and then it was ok. However two weeks ago I have again made a reservation directly with the owner for a double-room that was twice reconfirmed. However upon arrival I was told that this room was taken and as an alternative they offered two beds in a common room that couldn't be accepted. I asked for another alternative and they offered a hostel room through an agency for 80 Euro. I requested the price difference that was agreed to be covered by them which they refused and the owner told me in a very rude manner to leave. I was left without a place on a rainy Friday evening in Amsterdam. Shocking, profoundly unprofessional manner and devastating experience. Don't even think about going there.
