The Hostelz.com Review
Hostel Azur is a random little hostel -- quite a ways out of the city center and located on top of a pizzeria. Its a big orange building that says Azur but has no mention of a hostel so follow a map to the street name and just look for the big orange building.

It's a relatively small hostel, with staff that's friendly but barely visible. This is the kid of place that requires booking ahead so someone can meet you to let you in, or else you might be out of luck because we did not see anyone working there the whole next day.

The rooms are very clean, cosy, and appropriate for the price of the place. The bathroom is modest but clean enough to not need sandals in the shower. The kitchen is pretty well-equipped and cosy, if not a little cramped but great for cooking in.

The restaurant below is super good and we ate pizza the whole time we were there. The atmosphere is relatively nonexistent as there really isn't anywhere to hang out and socialize. Being so far out of the center, no one actually stays there to socialize, they just go into to town. We enjoyed the quick stay we had -- a clean and cheap enough place that we would have no problem going back to.

Best hostel of the holiday
On arrival, we were met by Marco at the station, and driven to the hostel, which made a lovely change from having to wander round a city in the dark, looking for a hostel with poor directions. When we got to the hostel it was clean, friendly, and cheerful. The hostel had a well equipped kitchen/sitting room, with a TV that had news in English. We were a little way out from the centre, but a short bus ride from a bus leaving just outside the hostel meant that this was no problem. The hostel is situated above a really cheap and really good pizzeria, which does huge portions and tastes great, and is also next to a good supermarket. The only problem was that there was only one bathroom/toilet, which had poor drainage (but hot water, which is more than some of our hostels provided), but that was a small price to place for such a lovely hostel. We'd definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Slovenia.
