1 We had a terrible time here. They double-booked our room and made us stay in a disused children's dorm that was three doors away, remote from all facilities, in a very insecure and poorly-lit residential building. They even made us stay there a second night, despite promising proper accommodation, because "some other people turned up and we put them in your room" when it became available. Then they tried to charge us the full price for the double room we'd originally booked. We were very unimpressed; they were rude and evidently trying to squeeze as much money from us as possible.

3 This hostel was interesting. There were five of us, and we had a three-bed room. The beds were big, and we did get a camp bed, so it was okay, but could have been more comfortable. There was a piano in our room, though! The showers were very good, and the sink in our room was nice. The location wasn't bad, either. Make sure you check out the Jewish Quarter. We suspected a bit of false advertising in the brochure we found for this hostel. The "free laundry" consisted of a washing machine that didn't work and two tumble dryers that didn't work very well at all. The "free Internet" was broken while we were here. The "free breakfast" you had to pay for, and it seemed they substituted the "fridge in every room" for the piano. It wasn't terrible, and it was nice to have our own room, which definitely had character, but it could have been better. It is definitely a good value, though, and I may stay here again. We had a really good time in Krakow, all said and done!

3 I wanted to like this hostel, but even though it was close enough to the centre and transportation, the noise from trains going past is an issue. The rooms were ok--although this morning I woke up and there were 6 people in my 3-person room, 3 of them sleeping on the floor. The common-room consisted of a long table in the basement. If more than a handful of people were down there it was next to impossible to speak due to the bizarre echo. The washing machines don't work that great either. Not the worst place I've stayed in, but not the best either.
