Cozy and comfortable place
My husband and I stayed at Frendz for three nights in a deluxe room with aircon. The room was clean and looks sanitized, although a bit old. I found the verandah very useful to hang and dry your wet clothes. The location is accessible to D'Mall and to the beach. We weren't able to try their food because we ate at different restaurants. Overall, we were satisfied and happy with our stay at Frendz.

Fantastic location, staff and very cheap
I was recommended this place from some ex-pat friends in Manila. I contacted the owner who offered us a great price and helped with our travel arrangements to Boracay. To our surprise he offered to pick us up at caticlan for free. Upon arrival the owner Steve gave us a much better room for no extra charge. After settling in to our room which was great, We were given free drinks in the bar, and met some great people. As it was near sunset the owner steve offered to take us to some great bars and eating places. We only had three days at frendz but I cant wait to get back. Thanks to Steve Rose and all the staff for a great time.

A Taste of Paradise!
Me and a friend stayed at Frendz Resort in 2004. We were hunting around the island for a cheap stay! Frendz is a secluded, well-kept, extremely well run resort with growing favour from our part! Our little "nepa hut" was amazing. So well kept, the employees were very friendly and made us feel like we fit right in! Within minutes of arriving, the owner introduced himself and welcomed our presence. I'm not sure what Frendz is rated, but they offer five-star hospitality and thoughtfulness! You can tell that there is a lot of heart and soul that is behind this place.

It was a super peak season during Holy Week in Boracay and we had no room reserved. I and my friend were helplessly walking for three hours searching vainly for a vacant room. Fortunately, my friend found one bed in Frenz which according to the receptionist may fit in two and we could divide among ourselves the cost. My friend immediately paid so as not to lose his find. However, when I came in, they said it differently that I had to pay the same amount my friend paid since they charged per person, not per bed. I pointed out that that didn't seem fair since we were told that we can the share the bed and the cost, and the bed can hardly snugly fit in two persons. Their posters also stated that the rate was per bed. Clearly, there may have been some miscommunication. At least, we argued, that they should be some price bargaining to a compromise for the bed for two people in fairness to us. However, the supposed owner in her most unfriendly way intruded in our conversation, feisty and shouting cantankerously that she would just refund my friend's money to end the case. It was raining, almost night time. We were very very tired and nowhere to go. She knew we had no choice. We were tricked into a gambit to take the bed and pay twice what was initially agreed. If you have your options, please look for some place else. Who knows what opportunistic tricks the owner has under her sleeves, especially when it comes to prices and bills.
Reply from the owner: Frendz Resort does offer beds in our dorm rooms from P400 per night per person, at no time would we allow two people to share a single bed, it is unsafe and unfair to other persons in the dorm. I am an Australian who managers and owns Frendz and other Resorts, if there was a problem I would have known about it. This person should come forward so I can find out the true reason, but they won't because as the Owner of Frendz I know for a fact they never stayed here, it is an attempt to give Frendz a bad name out of jealously, because we offer great accommodataion at very cheap prices. Please if you are considering staying at Frendz read the many great reviews we have, and feel free to see me personally if you have a problem.

Thought this resort was excellent -- really good value for money and friendly service. Rooms range from four hundred peso to one thousand seven hundred peso, so options to suit all budgets. The rooms were cleaned and sheets replaced everyday, the foods great (I recommed you try sweet and soul pork!) they have a pool table and they just have installed free wifi service -- which was amazing to check my email from the comfort of my room! It's a very short walk too the beach and in my opinion in the best location -- the path that leads up to the resort (to the side of Cafe Del Mar) is the same distance from both the mall area (where I mostly eat) and the party area (where Cocomanga's and other discos are).
