A Budget Backpacker's Hostel is exactly what it claims to be. Don't expect any type of extra frills from this hostel. The Hostel is a converted flat on the 2nd floor of an older apartment building. The location is great. The hostel is no more then a 3 minute walk from one of the central tram stops. It is also within walking distance of several sights including Heroe's Square and the Andrassey Avenue.
While the facilities are not brand new, the hostel makes up for it with its excellent location and rock bottom prices. The Dorm room is fairly spacicious for a 10 person dorm. Each bed has a a locker for personal storage. The kitchen serves also as the common room.
Two notes about the hostel. First there's only one bathroom for 21 people if the hostel is full. This can create a wait throughout the day. The second is the small dorm room is located right by the kitchen and can get very noisy at times.
The hostel has a small personal feel that can really make a trip. If you're interested in meeting people this hostel almost forces you to get to know know your neighbors. Considering that Budapest can be slightly expensive for shabby hostels located on the outskirts of town, ABB really is a budget backpacker's hostel.
