The Hostelz.com Review
This is one of the Strahov college campus dorm buildings that serve as hostels during the summer. They generally offer single and double bed rooms with a bathroom on each floor. The location is a tram ride plus a short bus ride plus a couple blocks walking from the main part of the city. There are a couple clubs on campus within a block or two of the hostel.

Good deal. It's a dormitory, so don't expect much more. From the hallways it looks like a prison and the bathrooms are not very clean; however, the rooms are in great condition and it is very safe and friendly. It is a little outside the city center, but it's right in the student center and if you're the type that doesn't only want to see the touristy things you'll enjoy it. Public transit will get you there fine, however you can also walk there from the train station (about a 1-hour walk, past some of the prettier sights in the town). If you're a budget hosteler you will enjoy it.

I loved staying at this hostel. The administrators were friendly and helpful, and they spoke English, too! I was so impressed at how the place was absolutely spotless and conscientiously kept really clean. There was a baggage hold, showers, and no lockout. And it's in an EXCELLENT location if you needed to hop on the bus to the airport — the stop is literally around the corner! As is the Tube stop for one of the main lines. I recommend this hostel highly — it's an exceptional value for a good quality safe stay. Cheers!

You have to travel a fair bit to get to the city center, and it's not very aesthetically pleasing, but this hostel is really cheap (and transport is not expensive). It is pretty basic, but by the end of my stay I quite liked it. The showers are good, if not very private, and the rooms are okay though not very clean. There is a supermarket nearby. For the price it's a pretty good value, but then the price is less than elsewhere.

This hostel was very far out of the city. We had to take a bus and the Metro to get anywhere. The buildings are old and falling apart. The kitchen is not available to guests, even though the website says it is. There are some bars, and a grocery store in the same area. The staff weren't too helpful. I wouldn't recommend it. Get something near the city.
