Perfect! It is a small hostel and as someone else said that does make it easier to meet people. It has large-screen TV along with free computer access; although one was not working while I was there. The managers are super friendly. It is a short walk from the Trinity station; although on weekends and holidays, you may have to take a lengthy bus ride to get there. However, if you arrive on a weekday, be sure to buy a day pass -- this will allow you to get on the Trinity as far as Irving and ride any bus in Dallas County. — Anonymous (2011-02-24)

Thanks Carlos! I stayed here in December 2009. I highly recommend this hostel! A relaxed atmosphere. It was affordable, clean, comfortable, and quiet; the perfect place to take a load off. There's free wireless internet, free cable, free linens and towels, and free local calls. It's situated between Ft. Worth and Dallas and a short walk to the train that runs between both. Above all a big thank you to Carlos who is very friendly and very generous! He likes to coordinate activities for everyone to do and is very knowledgeable about the area. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to the area! — Justin , USA (2009-12-20)

Great to work with. The management was very understanding when I had to cancel my reservations due to an unexpected change in my plans. They gave me a full refund. As a college student I definitely have to watch my money and I appreciate this place for being so considerate. If life brings me back this way again I will definitely give this place my business. — Adam Bradley , USA (2009-08-19)
The worst stay ever. hes a pig, the place is dirty the place is dirty with trash everywhere. — Jon , england (2008-02-22)

Very friendly, homelike, and convenient. Good vibes, good value! Close-in (three miles) to Dallas with direct, cheap train/bus service to Dallas, Fort Worth, daily until late-night. Big, clean, well-equipped kitchen. Small but modern and well-kept. Nearby cafes, markets, shops, ATMs, laundromat, fast-food. Irving is a friendly, fairly charming circa-1910 greenbelt inner suburb, but it is dry (no alcohol of any kind available). Good base for getting to/from Texas and Louisiana cities/hostels. Don't be put off by owner-manager not residing at the hostel. He is attentive, conscientious, helpful, and generous. If arriving by air, do your homework about economically managing local transport connections from nearby DFW. You will save a lot. Stayed for five days in early January 2008 and will be returning. — David , American (2008-01-06)

This hostel is great! It's a house with a very friendly bulgarian manager. It really feels that you are sharing a house with roommates from all over.
The rooms are nice and the bathrooms are OK too.
There is a fully equiped kitchen and free laundry!!!
Great place for sure! — Tarso , Brazil (2007-05-16)
Staff was friendly, but not there when I checked in despite prior arrangements. The place was very dirty. Kitchen and bathrooms were gross. No paper towels to be found anywhere. "Tidy"? No way...I would not stay there again. — First Timer , USA (2007-04-20)

It's a hostel which is more like your home, comfortable, carpeted throughout, warm, friendly. It includes free internet, a washing machine, TV, a big backyard. The public transport to the airport, Dallas or Fort Worth is only ten minutes' walk away, and I felt secure walking around in the evenings. It's a perfect hostel, in the perfect location with the perfect host. I hope your stay will be as enjoyable as mine. — Simon - Australia (2007-02-08)

I stayed in this hostel for two nights, it was warm, tidy, and clean. It has free internet, TV, and washing facilities. The owner was very friendly as well as helpful. It is a bit of a journey to dallas, but is served well by a the train which takes little time in getting there so it isn't that bad. Except on Sundays when it doesn't run, so you need to take to bus which can take up to one to two hours. Apart from that I recommend staying here. One of the nicest hostels i've stayed in. The owner is very relaxed with his hostelers and means sometimes he's not always there to check them in. In which case ring the number on the free phone provided and he'll fill you in on all the details and will catch up with you when ever possible. Until then make yourself comfortable. — English Traveller (2006-10-29)
