The Hostelz.com Review
Hostel Las Moiras is a good stop-off for a few nights in Bariloche. There is a real international flavor in this hostel, with many languages floating around and nice common areas where people can really mix.
The Location
Location is without doubt the high point of this hostel. It's only one block from Lago Nahuel Huapi (so some rooms get a lake view) and close to all the bus stops in the center.
Rooms and Bathrooms
There are plenty of different rooms here -- dormitories, private rooms, and matrimonials. They are all of a decent size with private bathrooms, although some of the shower positions can be a little strange. The beds are comfy though and it's easy to get a good night's sleep.
Common Spaces
There's one main common area that consists of both the lounge and the dining room. When there's a lot of people around, it can be extremely cosy but then at least it stops you from having any excuses to meet new people. It's a room that feels great for this purpose as well as to relax. There is also a large kitchen with two sets of cookers and sinks, which can be extremely useful, and a room filled with internet-ready computers.
Summary
Las Moiras is a well-meaning hostel with plenty of rooms to cater for all, good kitchen facilities, internet/Wi-Fi, and good vibes. It's a great place to meet people and enjoy all the major perks of a good hostel. Plus, they provide towels, which -- if you're used to drying your face on a wet t-shirt -- is a massive bonus!
