5 Another five-star review. Monica is so friendly and helpful. She is a real gem. Great kitchen. Quiet rooms comfy beds, Free internet. easy to get to from train station, just be sure to get out at Suceava Nord not the first Suceava stop! She picks you up at the station and drops you off for free. you dont need a HI card.

5 I stayed at Class Hostel two times late in the summer of 2004. The first after coming over the Prislop pass from Barsana. I stayed for a few days because her cooking was fantastic and Suceava was a fun place to hang out, go out at night and, of course, to see the monasteries of northeast Romania. After seeing more of Romania, Moldova and much of Ukraine, I found myself crossing the Ukrainian-Romanian border at Chernivsti and looking forward to Monika, Class Hostel, and Suceava. To my surprise, I met her father in the yard chopping a mountain of firewood (to heat the water). To those who want to go to the Ukraine, the consulate in Suceava is an easy place to get them (I believe same day or next day service). By the way, the cow next door that Monika milks sometimes, is very friendly. If you give her long scratches on the back of the neck she will droop her head down and drip from her nose. And for you Swedes out there, Monika speaks fluent Swedish, and by her looks, she can even pass as one.

5 This hostel is a blast, and so is Monika. I stayed here in July 2004 and really had a good time. The hostel is just perfect, clean and comfortable, Monika is a very good guide and the Romanian countryside is amazing. Suceava is way off the beaten track, but it's certainly worth it!!

5 We stayed in Class hostel last week and had an amazing time. It is clean and comfortable, and Monika is a wonderful woman with a dream. She will do anything to help you out and her cooking is amazing!! Make sure you ring before you go though, and she'll pick you up from the train station (whatever time of night or day). Anyone who goes to Romania will be sad to miss Class Hostel and Suceava.

5 I stayed with Monika in August 2003 and I loved Class Hostel. I had a wonderful stay. She is incredibly nice and an excellent tour guide. She can organize everything so your stay at the hostel is so easy. Her cooking is excellent and the hostel itself is gorgeous — so new and peaceful. It was such a retreat. I found the Rottweiler dogs next door a bit scary but they can't get out! I can't recommend this hostel enough.

5 The best hostel I have ever stayed in. The warmest welcome and the best food, a place I want to go back to. Monika works so hard to make everything right.
