This was a very nice hostel to stay in. Calm, quiet, it was basically a four-bedroom apartment for girls. It felt like home, not like hostel. We each had our own bed, not a bunk bed! The linens and towels were included for free, there was no extra cash deposit for anything. There was a shower and toilet and a sink adjacent to the sleeping room. There was also a kitchen / living area where you could cook or read. The host, Leonardo, was very friendly and relaxed. He gave me good advice about cheap places to eat around the hostel. He also gave me a really good map with all tourist sight-seeing places on it and mentioned the ones that were "must sees." They were all must sees, you have to see Florence, it's adorable. The internet was incredibly cheap -- 1 euro per hour, but you have to get in between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., and sometimes wait in line. The location of the hostel was ideal -- two-minute walk to belissimo Duomo, nine-minute walk from Piazza de la Signoria, five-minute walk from the train station, which is very convenient, if you arrive by train. The whole Florence is small, so you will just walk everywhere, and don't really need to use any public transportation. You can even walk to Piazzale Michelangelo across the river, but that's more of a hike. It was very quiet in the hostel. I cannot say that I met a lot of people there, just the three girls in my room, but they were very nice and friendly. The only downside was that nobody cleaned our apartment while we were there (for four days), but maybe they do it between the tenants. On the other hand, I think there was not a very strict lockout for cleaning, either, so if you needed to, you could go to your room. Overall, if I return to Florence again (and I would, there are still so many museums that I'd love to see), I would like to stay at the same place, definitely.
