Very dirty. I think they didn't change sheets before our arrival and I even found a peel of banana below the bed! It's a mess because it could be a great place to stay, but it seems like the only important thing is to make money in some way. The only good person was the poor guy at the reception, the other people very impolite. Really -- what a mess!

The hostel is good if you're are not looking for too much. In terms of facilities it is a bit lacking but clean and the staff have always being real friendly the two times I stayed there.

It's ok if you just want a bed and nothing else. Lots of basics are missing: iron, towels, working sockets, toilet roll, soap, and rubbish bins. There was very little to no maintenance or cleaning done. Most important there was also very little security, no locks on the bedroom doors and no individual lockers. We also had problems with trying to get our deposit back. The cost was €20 per night, not the €13-17 as stated on their Web site. I would definitely not recommend it.

Horrible place. The free breakfast consists of the old milk that sat on the cafe tables all day. The milk has bread and food crumbs in it and is then all poured into a pitcher at the end of the day and brought upstairs for the hostel guests to drink. The cafe is right next door to the hostel and is owned by the same people. Not a very hygienic place, and the owner is very unpleasant to talk to. No booze is allowed and it's not a fun party place.

Great hostel. The woman who worked there dried my karate suit for me, which I much appreciated!

The staff were great but the house wasn't. It was very dirty. The toilets were very dirty, too.

I am a Spanish girl and I must say this hostel is great. The staff are so nice and helpful. I do recommend it.

The staff was great! What it lacks in space it makes up for in friendliness / personality / family-like quality. And the muffins were exquisite, especially after living on lentils and rice for days. Very homey.

I have travelled through all of Ireland and visited many hostels - this one was definitely my favourite one! Friendly stuff there, nicest and cheapest hostel in Galway. They put candles out in the evenings and we even had free muffins...
