Description
Recently opened in 2005, our brand new hostel is very well approachable even by night service. The unique and colourful design of the Grand Hostel was created by an acknowledged artist.

Each room and bathroom has a different colour and style. In the newly renovated building we have large common areas, a big garden, a café bar, rent-a-bike, free internet and various games.

In the day you can take a bike and ride along the bike routes in the forest and see some of the hills and mountains of Budapest or hit the city and find out how much it's got to offer.

But when the night comes you have two excellent choices. Try Hungarian nightlife- we keep you up-to-date about whatsup in the city all the time- or party with us in the Grand Hostel, have some shots or cocktails in the garden, enjoy the DJ or the live music performances. Cooking together outdoors on open fire is quite common, too.

3 We liked the funky rooms, and bar, tho it was a bit small. The beds were a bit uncomfortable, which you get used to. The guys were mostly helpful. Our only qualm was that they seemed to have heaps of locals who used it as their own house, and the guys who worked the nights slept, so if you got up before 9, they would be asleep on the couch and the place would be FILTHY. The free internet was great tho. Would probably stay here again but in summer with more guests to keep the staff on their toes.
