Description
The PRINCE OF WALES (Singapore) is modeled on the many Australian corner pubs/hotels that provide punters with live music, a variety of cold draught beer, inexpensive accommodation and a casual atmosphere.

A subtle Australian feel is brought to the pub through its sunburnt colours, corrugated iron, weatherboard, and red gum timber.

Australian draught beer from the Grand Ridge Brewery in Gippsland Victoria is shipped in to compliment the other international draught beers on offer. Hoegaarden, Boddington's and San Miguel are also on tap.

The music is Alternative original rock, with a different act each night. Sunday through Thursday is "Live & Unplugged", while Friday & Saturday nights are "Live & Loud" in the main bar.

Chill-out in the Beer Garden with picnic tables, BBQ, pool table and sports television.
Look out for Jessica who runs around a lot on four legs looking for attention. Yep, she's a Border collie, woof!

The Prince of Wales is open 9am to 12.30am.
All we're lacking is the ‘HZ Ute' and the ‘T.A.B.'! (…but we are working on it!)

3 Hostel itself was great but i didnt like the atmosfere at the hostel. Evertything is so limited and i didnt find it comfortable. We meet a lot of great people and it was fun after all.   — Pia Ramljak (2010-02-26) Hostelbookers
3 Not a bad place really but the dorms are way too big and sweatily hot and I'm just not a fan of brushing my teeth in a pub toilet. Really need to build seperate toilets for the hostel guests to use.   — ricky gellatly (2010-02-04) Hostelbookers
5 Helpfull and friendly staff, easy going and laid back, not full of school rules. A good location for getting about or just hanging about in the area, had its own pub with great Aussie character.   — Anonymous (2009-11-24) Hostelbookers
4 The Staff - they are in a class of their own.. Very helpfull and frindly.   — Jesper Hollesen (2009-10-05) Hostelbookers
5 I liked coming in the hostel and staying at the bar. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The dormitory is very peaceful veen if if we were a lot of people. Finally, the breakfast was quite good for a free one! eggs, bred, coffee, tea, jam, butter! a very nice place on the whole   — benoit leroy (2009-04-12) Hostelbookers
3 The night at this hostel is a big party!   — Felipe Buhr (2009-02-02) Hostelbookers
4 Great location! It's a cool concept to have sleeping quarters in the same place as a pub. And the rooms were surprisingly quiet.   — Anonymous (2008-12-21) Hostelbookers

3  You get what you expect with this place. It is a pub/bar first and a hostel second. Expect loud noise late at night which can mean no sleep, especially at weekends. The showers aren't all that either. But the owner seems nice and you get cheap rooms and a free breakfast, which is good.  ()
