Great location!
I had a good stay here! Fantastic location, right downtown! The room was small, but clean, and the kitchen facilities were useful. I met a couple of nice people on my floor. I would definitely stay again!

I am an student in Canada and I unfortunately entered this building called Neill Wycik for accommodation. I am a student of Ryerson and this falls the closest. But I would warn you from entering this hell, read the agreement before you sign -- apart from the $431 or $462 rent you need to pay, they involve you into paying fines of about $25-$1000 everytime by saying that you did not devote mcp (maintenance) hours and as per the agreement they have to collect fines if you do not donate the mcp hours. this mcp hours include donating eight to ten boxes of juices and three cans of tuna and branded kids bags from winners and you end up paying $50-100 extra above the rent. also the internet bill is $25 and cable $25 in addition to it! they also take some $200 for maintenace in advance and say that they would refund it when you leave but that is a big lie! they make some or the other excuses to keep that as well so please be careful. the only thing good here is the student environment around but hey! i would not prefer that at the cost of paying $25-1000 fine every month! they suck your blood and harass you with notices every now-n-then! they show no sympathy when you are in trouble! the management team noreen, melissa and all are very ugly and money-minded people. they just want money and their pockets should be full of money thats all, if you die, they dont care. they want the fine! being intenational student you can find loads of accomodation at cheaper prices and in friendly neighbourhoods where people will come to you rescue when you are in trouble, dont join this mess please!

I've lived in Wycik for a few years now and it's not so bad. Security is tight and rent is cheap. You've got some vermin to contend with and the hookers are plentiful but as mentioned before, the rent is the lowest you'll find in downtown Toronto.

Well, I loved it! Not because of the rooms (which aren't great) or the staff, who aren't always available, but because the atmosphere was unique! I met the best people here. It was a very rich experience. And you can say whatever you want about the area, it's downtown and so close to all the shops and bars.

We pay to live in a building with security, not to be made to feel like we are on lockdown. It's ridiculous. There are mice in the walls of our place, and if I leave any bit of food or dish on my floor overnight, the next morning it is covered in tiny ants. The only thing is that is cheap, but you get what you pay for. Make sure you check out your roommates, too. A lot of the time they are pigs.

I lived here for almost a year and I absolutely hated it. The staff are a collective hard-ass. There are mice and other vermon; the place is located on has no less than 2 homeless shelters and it's about a one minute walk from a place called "hooker harvey's"... I would try to find another place to stay.
