5  A great place I stayed here for two weeks while traveling around Oz. It has just been renovated. Really clean bathrooms and dorm rooms. It's really close to downtown with out being in downtown. very comfortable and good beds too. A good place overall.  , American ()
2  Don't go here The location is miles away from anywhere and in a run down and dangerous part of town (don't believe the blurb about it being near to central station). The reception is erratically staffed and forget internet access in this eighties style hostel -- you'll have to find an internet cafe outside the place! I stayed a few nights but many who had booked elected to find another place on arrival. Cleaning was left to whatever poor resident they could persuade to do it and was often not done! I didn't find the staff friendly at all.  , england ()
5  I came to this place first, when i arrived in australia and it was the last place i left when i went back home. The only thing i could say is, there is no friendlier and better place over the whole continent. Couldn't had a better start than with suzi and buffy. Five-star hostel.  ()
4  I stayed here for a couple of weeks in April 2004 and absolutely loved the place!! Friendly, cosy and definitely the sort of hostel I would go for. It's close to bus links to Sydney CBD, though it's only about a 45 minute walk (downhill to the city). Surry Hills is a great area, too, with a couple of great bars, and some good shops. I would definitely recommend it here!  ()
