After a 3/4 mile trek from the bus stop along a country lane you turn a corner and suddenly you see before you what must be one of the most happily situated hostel in the UK (or in the world?). Its romantic cliff-top setting is definitely what makes this place deserve at least a two night stay - and also return visits (we've been back three times already).
The dorms are basic, but the views don't come much more spectacular than what you get here. There are a few (very small) private rooms available at the same rates as the dorms if you book well in advance. The toilets and showers are very basic, but clean. Showers can sometimes be a bit temperamental but will eventually give hot water if you treat them right.
The communal kitchen is small but well equipped, though you might burn the odd piece of toast while you look out of the window out to sea! There is a roomy dining area which also has several armchairs and a cosy conservatory, that gets rather hot in the summer. Plenty of board games and books available. On-site payphone, no internet access.
The famous Pembrokeshire Coast Path is just on the doorstep and allows you to take great walks in either direction (e.g. north to Strumble Head, south to Aber Mawr). For fit walkers the nearest hostel (Trefin YHA) can be reached via the coast path - this is quite a hike though, you can always take the bus.
