The Hostelz.com Review
Hotel and Hostel Sport is a very odd place. The hostel is also a hotel, so it's a massive place just up the street from the main square. We got there really late and had no problem getting a room completely to ourselves. The room has six beds and a large double bed.
The hostel is super clean, spacious, and cheap. The rooms have a private bathroom that is also ridiculously clean. The place looks like it never has any guests, which is a little eerie. We had the entire hostel section to ourselves.
The kitchen is very industrial-looking but lacks a single pot or pan and utensils. The "breakfast" room is also very clean, bland and every table has a toaster on it -- we're not quite sure what was going on with that. The hostel also has a ton of board games to play, TV, and also arranges daytrips and activities.
The place was great except without fellow backpackers to hang out with it is lonely and creepy. It's a very odd place indeed but that's not a problem if you, like us, get stuck after a long day of unsuccessful hitchiking. The staff was friendly enough and if we ever get stuck in Postonja again, we would not mind staying there at all.

Clean and near train station It's more like service apartment than hostel. I was staying at 8 bed large dorm room with toilet en-suite. The price is reasonable when you have been stayed any hostel in Lubjuna. — patkam , hong kong (2010-05-12) The symposium that I attended in Postojna booked me at the Hotel Sport. Having attended other symposiums in the U.S.A. I was worried that the cost was going to be very high. I was pleased to find that the cost was very reasonable. The room I had was very nice and clean. I was able to get a great night sleep every night I was there (five nights). Some of the other guests had problems with the wifi there. They had to go to the lobby area or the community room. I had an older laptop that had an external USB wi-fi that I could put outside my window so I got great connection speed and was able to email and surf to my delight. A nice Continental breakfast was included, which was a nice way to start the day. The people at the front desk were very nice and extremely helpful. When I needed to call a friend in Ljubljana to set up a meeting the young lady at the front desk let my use her personal cell phone. A few nights I had dinner at their restaurant and was pleased at the quality and price of the food.
