The Hostelz.com Review
Fluxus Hostel is fabulous. It is not big at all and actually feels more like a big comfortable apartment. The two rooms with bunk beds connect to each other so it is easy to quickly meet everyone staying in the hostel. Other than the two big rooms with bunk beds there is a small room with a double bed and its own bathroom.
There is a communal kitchen which has a small table and a television and is stocked with the basic supplies you need for cooking (but who would want to when the hostel hands out coupons to the most delicious -- and healthy tasting -- kebob place ever, just about two minutes away). ´
In the entry hallway there is a computer that all guests can use free of charge. The decoration and color choices of the hostel are great. It feels very stylish, clean, and comfortable -- not like you are in a hostel at all. The bathrooms are spotless and even the toilet paper is cute. The beds were really comfortable and the rooms warm (important when you show up in the middle of freezing January!).
The owner of the hostel is young, speaks perfect English, and was super friendly, funny, and helpful. He gives great suggestions of things to do in the city to make sure you have a great time.
The hostel is well located, not too far from the train station, and easy to find with the provided directions. Its a short walk from the main attractions of the city as well. All around, a great hostel.

Hostelz.com Guest Reviews
Horrible hostel, hostile owner We've stayed in about 30 hostels and this one is the WORST. There was no hot water, but when we complained, the owner insisted it was a small problem and refused to refund the 2nd night, even though we only stayed for 1 night. And he said hostels are for young people who should not mind the water heater breaking down, which was just a machine's problem. He clearly did not understand the concept of customer service. He even said many hostels in Europe don't provide hot water, which is completely ridiculous -- this is year 2010, not 1910! And to make things worse, he made rude racial remarks against us, saying that there are worse hostels in China and we Chinese should know better. So, fellow travelers, if you still want to book this hostel, make sure you're not Chinese, don't complain to the owner no matter what, and don't book the private room which doesn't have its own WC. The only good thing about this hostel is Vanja the manager, who's very nice and hardworking. But I pity her for working under such an unreasonable man! — Karson Chu , Hong Kong (2010-08-07)

I liked it very much. It was really nice. Staff was very kind. Anita, Tanja, Igor, and Miron made it feel like we were visiting their beautiful home. So clean. so fresh. so good location. so hearty. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was love at first sight when we entered the jugend hall, and then saw our tiny, cosy room. just perfect match for us. — Heljä and Mia , finnish (2008-01-01)

This feels more like a flat than a hostel, but it all added to the experience. The rooms were spotlessly clean with cool boho decor -- I was tempted to ask where they'd got it from! The staff were genuinely interested in your travels and amazingly helpful -- a girl wanted to stay longer and there were no beds, but they booked another hostel for her! The main con is that it's pricier than you would expect, but that's Ljubljana, unfortunately. It's also tiny and fills up fast, so book in advance, especially when the summer student dorms are closed. — Hannah (2006-12-20)

Good location, clean, and friendly. Free internet, helpful staff, and an excellent kitchen with TV. The dorm rooms connect so it's easy to meet people. They even stored my big pack for free when I went to Lake Bled overnight. Main drawback is that it's located right next to a large nightclub, so it's very noisy until the small hours of the morning. — Sarah (2006-07-09)

Fantastic location and the staff are really nice. Clean bathroom, although they could do with an additional shower. — Anonymous (2005-08-01)

Great hostel! One of the best I've ever stayed in! The people are VERY nice and helpful. It's very small, but that kind of guarantees you the same relaxed atmosphere that is also otherwise present in this pocket-size but friendly capital. — J, Finland (2005-06-17)

We really enjoyed our stay at this hostel. Very clean, and the owners both were so helpful. Probably one of the best hostels we have ever stayed at. : ) — Sarah N Thorne (2005-04-15)

Really nice, really clean. This place has the best location; everything is either across the street or within a short walking distance. The owners are really nice and helpful. The only problem is that there is only one bathroom and shower for the dorm beds. — MT (2005-04-02)

This hostel was awesome. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and quite exceptional. I would recommend it to anyone staying in Ljubljana. — Sarah, USA (2005-03-27)
