I stayed there in the mid-eighties. Yes, I know it's long long ago, but the thing is that I have never forgotten their warmth of hospitality, genuine friendliness. The view from the verandah, in front of the rooms, down the coastline along the Twelve Apostles mountains cannot be beaten. Just down the hill is Clifton and the beach, and then to the left but a short walk or quick bus ride further along, is Camps Bay beach and some reasonable nightlife, if you want it. Clean but smallish dorm-rooms, six bunks per room, if I recall it correctly, and a small kitchen make for secure and cosy accomodation. Buy your own food in Camps Bay or Sea Point. It is also close to Table Mountain Cable Way (up the hill, a stiff walk).

I stayed here in 1999-- it was the most welcoming, flexible, fabulous hostel I have ever stayed in and I hope to stay there again this year. I just hope nothing has changed and I can re live my wonderful times there in 1999.
