HI - YHA Patterdale Hostel

YHA Patterdale has recently been given a bright, retro makeover to match the unique 1970s building, with original artwork throughout. This fantastic, friendly YHA is situated in the stunning scenery just south of Ullswater, perfect for exploring the surrounding ridges and fells. The energetic will want to scale Helvellyn or try mountain biking and rock climbing. Those after a relaxing break can chill out on the Ullswater steamers, and there is a sports massage clinic on site. In the evening, there's always a chance you will catch an impromptu music session in full swing. YHA Patterdale is a great place for a party and Irish Ceilidhs, Salsa weekends, and special meals can all be organized for you. Plenty of toys, games and DVDs are available to keep children entertained and there are pubs in the village and more cafes and restaurants in nearby Glenridding.

Families are very welcome but we cannot accept bookings in dormitory accommodation for persons aged between 16-18 without an accompanying adult over the age of 18. People aged between 16- 18 who wish to stay without an adult must book a private room.
If you are traveling with a person under the age of 16, who is of the opposite sex, then you must also book a private room, as no one under this age is permitted to stay in a dormitory without an adult
