5  Great people, great sleep and cheap too Arrived feeling exhausted and within 10 minutes had energy to spare. Lovely kids and dog Lily. Chris and Char each spent time with me and made me feel special. They are especially nice to everyone. Got a great sleep, met great people from around the world and it was cheap too!  , Canada ()
2  Not as good as web page suggests I object to the unpleasant way in which every one is told to be out of the premises at 11 and don't come back till after 4. You have to like children running around and pulling laptops off tables. You have to share kitchen with family cooking and there is not enough space to sit in the dining area. Six or eight seats for thirty bunks. Not good at all. Was also a little disturbed by the lady host blatantly breast feeding in the communal areas and reception. Would give this place a miss. Did hear from another hostel owner that it was up for sale!  , gb ()
5  Fun! Relaxed atmosphere with a great staff. If I was on the island I would go here again.  , Canada ()
2  if your idea of a brief walk is the best part of an hour up a very steep hill to the hostel from the Tofino Bus stop at PetroCan, then be my guest. Its not located in the nicest part of town & its $23 a night, NOT $20 as listed.  ()
4  Small hostel with friendly, experienced staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Several inexpensive restaurants within a few minutes walk. The town is small and sees few tourists, despite being surrounded by nature. The kitchen may be too small if the hostel is full.  ()
5  Very warm and welcome atmosphere, uncomplicated, fun and friendly owners, and GREAT beds. Don't hesitate to book here, you won't regret it.  ()
5  This place is awesome. Chris and Cher definitely go the extra mile to make sure you have the best experience possible. I would stay here again or recommend it to a friend in a second.  ()
5  Nice space that made me feel very at home, away from home! Great atmosphere. Chris stayed up late with us to watch movies ("Coffee and Cigarettes," hadn't seen it for years) and to drink much beer — it was like being at home again. There's a dog there, Lily, that loves everyone. The sheets were really groovy — Star Wars and Crash Test Dummies. Port Alberni is cooler than I thought it was going to be (Della Falls is a must-see). I stayed for three days longer than I planned. Two thumbs up.  ()
