• From Panama City: The Terminal Nacional de Transporte is located in the Albrook area, and any cab will drive there from wherever you are in the city. Your hotel in Panama City can arrange transportation for you. The Las Tablas-Panama buses work on a schedule that runs from 6:15am until 6:30pm. The trip cost $9.70 and it takes 4.5 hours, with a 15 minutes stop half way, in Anton or 15 minutes later, in Penonomé. There you can have something to drink or a meal or snacks. And use the restroom. It will be convenient to carry tissue, hand soap or sanitizer with you, since public bathrooms don't always carry those items. Once you arrive in Las Tablas, take a cab ($3-4) and ask the driver to take you to us, to the hostel in Santo Domingo. They usually place courtesy phone calls to us to find our exact location, in case they are not familiar with us. There is a large sign on the main road, right outside our place, so we are very visible and easy to find.
• From David/Bocas Del Toro: It will be convenient to carry tissue, hand soap or sanitizer with you, since public bathrooms don't always carry those items. You can get something to eat or drink and use their facilities for free or pay .25 or .50 cents and use the restrooms. Some offer toilet paper and hand soap and paper towel/hand driers but some don´t, so be prepared. Take a bus from David to Santiago. You will be dropped off at the Santiago main terminal. Take a bus to Chitre (about 1.5 hour drive) for 3.00. Once you arrive in Chitre there is a bus available every 10 minutes at the Chitre main terminal to Las Tablas (45 minutes’ drive). Fare is 1.50 each way. Once the bus arrives at the terminal in Las Tablas, you can catch a cab/taxi for 2.50 - 3.00 to our hostel. Ask the driver to take you to us, in Santo Domingo, a less than a 5 minute drive. They usually place courtesy phone calls to us to find our exact location.
