1 One of the most scaring areas in Baltimore, and a very strange Lady who's afraid to show her face if you are in front of her door. We didn't go in. Everything was just insane. The area, the "manager Lady" and of course the three guys beside our taxi, who scared the sh*t out of us. Possible that you have a good time in this "hostel," but we were simply were too afraid for going in this house. We were just wondering where the hell the beds are supposed to be. Your decision guys! But, we thought we might lose our life as soon we leave the cab.

2 Don't let the two stars fool you. That is only a reflection of the difference between an absolute outstanding location and something that is awful. The place isn't that bad. This hostel is pretty much the only game in town if you are going to be in Baltimore, MD. Being a home hostel, it isn't all that big, but I found the manager of the place to be very kind and considerate to all travelers. There are two rooms with three beds each, one room for chicks and one for guys. Everyone shares the same bathroom (not all at once though). The location isn't in what you would call the high rent district, but I didn't feel unsafe there. They have street parking and my rental car was just fine for the three night stay at the Charm City Hostel. Charming? Maybe, but affordable and interesting, definitely! I would have no reservations about returning to this place again.
