Casa Hospedaje La Bohemia has the friendliest hosts and is a cosy and friendly place to stop over in Pasto!
The Location
Casa Hospedaje La Bohemia is approximately a twenty-minute walk from the bus terminal and right in the heart of the downtown area off a quieter side street. You will find all kinds of restaurants and shops down the main street of Calle Seventeen, where you can stock up on anything you need.
When you arrive at the hostel it can be a little confusing. It is the house right at the top of the giant staircase, so you need to go through the gate and up to the door. If you have problems with stairs, this may be a challenge, as there are many of them.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms are large, spacious, and comfortable. They have shelving spaces with smaller lockers where you can securely stow your things. The beds are clean and cozy, and also warm for the chilly Pasto evenings.
There are two bathrooms, one for boys and one for girls, both with toilet and shower and both with awesome hot water. The bathrooms are really nice and clean and they also provide you with a towel for use.
Common Spaces
As you enter the hostel, there are a few couches about the room with a television in the corner if you wish to use it. Out the back there is also a large kitchen with a gas stove and a microwave for cooking and a large area with a dining table and chairs for eating. This area is very vibrant and has a nice feel to it. There is also a small book exchange here as well.
Summary
The couple that run this hostel are super friendly and helpful. They speak English, Spanish, and French between them, so a large proportion of your languages are covered. They can give you some good tips on where to eat, border crossing information and things to do around the area. One of them is usually about to let you in as the front gate at the top of the stairs is always locked for security purposes. This is a great place to stay and a really nice and comfortable hostel to pass some time in Pasto.
