it was ok. the hosts mostly just left you alone. so did the guests. the atmosphere was calm and quiet. the good thing is you get a free drink at the bar. you could get absinthe for 333 yen if you bother the bartender a little about the 333 yen per drink policy! it is really close to the metro system and from the metro you can go wherever. also it is close the post office where you can exchange currency. the shared toilet and urinals however look clean, but really smell terrible. and also the room we got was so tiny that the bunk bed smaller than twin size took up 95% of the room. when one of us got up to leave the other had to sit down on the bed. the internet usage is free though.

I did a lot of research before choosing this hostel, and I'm glad I did. I've stayed in hostels all over the world and this place is definitely one of the cleanest. I stayed in a dorm with a view over the river. My bed was amazingly comfortable and had a wonderful duvet, which I would have liked to take home with me. The bathroom set-up is a bit odd — from the female dorm you basically have to go into the common area to get to the bathroom. But once you get used to it there is no problem, and there is a curtain you can pull around for privacy to/from the bathroom door. Fantastic location —convenient to transportation and old Tokyo sites. The owners are cool — they really are a "fun and friendly married couple." Common areas are tiny, but that's to be expected in Tokyo. I chose it because it was cheap but would recommend it to anyone because it is great. I will definitely stay there if I am ever in Tokyo again.

This is a good, convenient place to stay. The place is routinely cleaned. I had a room with a pretty view of the river! There is also a rooftop hangout overlooking the river. There's a very comfortable lounge with books and a TV — 59 channels! Also, this hostel has free Internet access, and a nice kitchen area.
This place is definitely recommended. It is a short walk from the Asakusa station, less than five minutes, and about a five-minute walk to the old town area with the shrines. And you can't beat the price.
