worst hostel ive seen the hostel was very grubby! the room we was in smelt like gone off milk when complaining of the smell the owner said it was wet suit but we had seen the milk patch on the floor.... the foam matress in the room was ripped there was a fridge that when opening i found hair in. the kitchen was discusting looked like it hadnt ever been cleaned i would not recomend this hostel to anyone! — laura , england (2008-01-15) Beached at Bondi was the worst place we stayed in during our travels. and then we spent time in both asia, australia, and new zealand. I arrived in the afternoon and had to call the number for someone to let me in (someone on desk from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m.!!). The room was overbooked and rather than calling any of us weeks in advance to cancel our room they just shoved 10 people in a room that sleeps 8 (two were on the floor!). The hostel is above a pub (which they don't mention) and they play loud music that you can feel through the floor, from 5 p.m. till 11:30. The owner wasn't there when I arrived on Boxing Day, although I made a reservation well in advance. I had to call him from a phone booth to get instructions.
