It's a nice and quiet little hostel located very near the center of Alajuela. The owner is very nice and very helpful too! There was nice and hot water with high water pressure in the shower!

Very convenient to the city center but very quiet. Real good bakery 1/2 block away and good restaurants, supermercados, and fast food outlets in the area. Carlos, the owner, is very conscientious and helpful. Scheduled me a $5.00 taxi ride to the airport at 5:15 AM and was up to make sure all went well.

The owner was very helpful and kind to us and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the hostel for the first 2 nights in Costa Rica, because after a long journey it is very convenient to be close to the airport.

The place is a great value, as it is well-located and very very clean. The owner Carlos is extremely nice and helpful. The only downside is that there is heavy traffic noise (no fault of the hostel, it's just that it seems every car in Costa Rica has a bad muffler and the drivers tend to rev rev rev). We had a room in the rear, and barely heard anything, but I felt sorry for the guests in front.
